Project Main Output

  • The launch on the competitive market of an integrated entrepreneurship model of the Black Sea Basin-Beekeeping sector with the potential to continuously update their own strategies to respond as quickly as possible to the competitive system
  • Ensuring the visibility of apiculture producers, the potential of the Black Sea Basin space and public awareness of the properties of apiculture products on health and increasing the food safety
  • Establishment and operation of the apiculture producers network in the Black Sea Basin for increasing opportunities for crossborder trade and upgrading the beekeeping sector and the relates activities
  • Development of ICT tools to support cooperation in the smart, sustainable and inclusive development approach.

Meeting with INCDS experts

On May 27th, 2020, a meeting took place at the headquarters of the Galati Tehnopol Association between the experts of the National Institute for Research and Development in Forestry (INCDS) “Marin Drăcea”. During the meeting the preliminary report of Agreement no. 405 / 20.12.2019 – “Digital mapping services” was discussed. The methods and preliminary obtained results were presented and the following activities were established for finalizing the thematic maps and publishing the maps online through a WEB-GIS service.

Training Course in the field of Beekeeping

The Tehnopol Association organized during the time interval 1st February – March 8th 2020, the Training Course in the field of Beekeeping, in the Brăila and Galati localities, within the project “Increase trading and modernization of beekeeping and connected sectors in the Black Sea Basin”, ITM BEE-BSB , BSB 136 co-financed through the Black Sea Basin Joint Operational Program 2014 – 2020.

93 persons graduated the course and acquired the following professional skills in the field of apiculture: bee anatomy and biology; bee pathology and diseases; technologies for breeding and exploiting bee families A-Z, description of the hive; breeding bee families; raising rams; honey base; hive products and the therapeutic effect for consumer health; technologies for harvesting venom and apilarnil.

Training in Turkey

On 18-19-20 January 2020, three trainings were held in the region-(Gürgentepe,Çatalpınar and Altınordu which are distincts of Ordu) with participation of 193 people.

Training topics are: Bee Health, Bee Diseases and pests, Climate change and Sustainable Beekeeping.

99 beekeepers have fulfilled the registration form for the Project online portal.

Training in Bulgaria

Varna Economic Development Agency organized training as part of the profession “Animal Husbandry”, specialty “Beekeeping” to help increasing the qualification and skills of honey producers under the ITM BEE-BSB project – Increasing the trade and modernization of beekeeping and related sectors in the region of Black Sea with the financial support from the JOP “ Black Sea Basin 2014-2020”.

The course “Management and Organization in Beekeeping” completed in December, 2019. It was targeted at 37 beginning and active beekeepers from the region. The next steps include observation visits for obtaining practical knowledge in beekeeping production and processing companies in the countries of the Black Sea region in the period February-April, 2020.

Beekeeping conference in Galati

Tehnopol Association organized the Conference regarding the Beekeeping within the project “Increase trading and modernization of beekeeping and connected sectors in the Black Sea Basin”, ITM BEE-BSB, BSB 136.

The conference was attended by beekeepers from the South-Eastern Region, as well as representatives of the Dunărea de Jos University. They discussed about the intensive beekeeping, but also about the effects induced by atmospheric pollutants on the physic-chemical and enzymatic parameters of some bee products.

Moreover, the beekeepers have highlighted the fact that they face different obstacles – from the difficulty of promoting effectively their honey on the European market and to problems arising from the effects of the climate change.

This conference represented a great opportunity for beekeepers to share their experiences, promote their products and to gain visibility for the projects and activities that they undertake.

Varna Economic Development Agency organize the International Fair of Apiculture Products in Varna, Bulgaria under the project ITM BEE-BSB with co-financing provided by the JOP Black Sea Basin 2014-2020.

Representatives of partners’ organizations, beekeepers and apicultural associations from Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine will participate in the forum to present apicultural products and to take part in the establishment of a network of interested producers of apicultural and connected sectors from the countries in the Black Sea basin region.

Launching conference in Mykolaiv

On June 22, 2019, the Mykolaiv Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the launching conference of the project “Increase Trading and Modernization of the Beekeeping and Connected Sectors in the Black Sea Basin” ITM BEE-BSB. The conference took place at Conference Hall of Reikartz River Hotel.

Participants of the event were representatives of the municipal and government administration, organizations of beekeepers and honey producers, other representatives of small and medium business of the south of Ukraine. About 40 representatives of the Mykolaiv business society and the delegations of project partners took part in this meeting.

Launching conference in Varna

On June, 19, 2019 Varna Economic Development Agency organized the launching conference of the project – “Increase trading and modernization of the beekeeping and connected sectors in the Black Sea Basin” ITM BEE-BSB.

The conference took place at Conference Hall of City Region “Odessos”, Varna Municipality. 32 representatives of Varna society and the delegations of project partners participated.

Launching conference in Trabzon

On June, 21, 2019 Eastern Black Sea Development Agency organized the launching conference of the project – “Increase trading and modernization of the beekeeping and connected sectors in the Black Sea Basin” ITM BEE-BSB.

The conference took place at Conference Hall of Eastern Black Sea Development Agency. 32 representatives of Trabzon Region society and the delegations of project partners participated.

Launching conference in Cahul

On June, 11, 2019 Cahul Business Centre organized the launching conference of the project – “Increase trading and modernization of the beekeeping and connected sectors in the Black Sea Basin” ITM BEE-BSB.

The conference took place at Conference Hall of Codreanu Hotel. 55 representatives of Cahul society and the delegations of project partners participated.
